Celebrate Digital Learning Day

The Virginia Department of Education, in collaboration with the Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) and the Alliance for Excellent Education, is pleased to announce February 1 as the first Digital Learning Day.  VSTE and the Department of Education will co-host a series of webinars throughout the day that highlight the work of the recently announced regional educational technology leadership award winners.  An evening webinar will focus on sharing your favorite mobile learning applications.

The Digital Learning Day website suggests three ways to participate, by:

  • Starting a Conversation
  • Trying One New Thing
  • Showcasing Success

Consider making a video with your students talking about what digital learning means.  Post a photo to flickr that shows innovation.  Tweet your ideas or post to the VSTE Facebook page.  Whatever you do, be sure to use the hashtag #vadlday.
